Coach Lee competed at the "Bending the Bar" powerlifting USPA competition on March 8, 2025. He was in the Raw 100kg, 50-54 class.
The event started off with the squat. He didn't have the depth on the first attempt and got red lights (red lights mean a failed lift) with 140kgs/308lbs. The second and third lifts were good with 145kgs/317lbs and 150kgs/330lbs.
Next was the bench press. Coach's first attempt was 140kgs/308lbs followed by 150kgs/330lbs and 155.5kgs/343lbs (which set a new record). Since Coach set a new record, he was permitted a fourth attempt. On the fourth attempt, coach successfully pressed 160kgs/353lbs securing the record.
The final event was the deadlift. Coach was feeling tired at this point and wasn't able to pull what he had hoped. He did pull 200kgs/440lbs on his first attempt, 205kgs/452lbs on the second and 210kgs/463lbs on the third attempt.
Coach Lee competed in the Full Raw (total of all three events with no supportive equipment). His total was 515.5kgs/1136lbs, giving him first place! Stay tuned and see if Coach Lee does even better at his next competition.
